LibriDoc : the institutional repository of K.U.Leuven for PhD theses
Since 2005, PhD's at the K.U.Leuven are electronically archived in LibriDoc, an institutional repository.
The electronic archive allows PhD students to enhance the visibility of their work worldwide by publishing it
on-line in the repository. However, access can also be restricted if needed. Another advantage for authors is
that they can now use a permanent, consistent URL to refer to their work.
Thanks to a link with the online application for the registration of doctoral projects
(My PhD), the database
contains a rich set of metadata with e.g. extensive abstracts.
The electronic PhD's can be found via the collection of
K.U.Leuven-dissertations in the library catalogue.
This collection contains more than 100.000 records of dissertations, and about 9.000 records of doctoral theses.
Another access point is the K.U.Leuven IWETO-researchdatabase where descriptions of doctoral projects provide a
link to the full text - if available - in LibriDoc.
